    Frequently Asked Questions

What does a web developer actually do?

A web developer can help you with a range of services including custom building your website, giving your existing website a refresh or help with taking care of your website on an ongoing basis.  If you’d like to learn more, contact me! I would be happy to find the service that best suits your needs.

Why should I hire Remote Reverie?

As a business owner myself and with my engineering background, I have a unique mix of experience and skills. I can take care of all those pesky technical aspects – so you don’t have to! It’s my goal to truly understand your business needs and create a custom-built website that will increase your revenue.  After working with Remote Reverie, you’ll be able to relax and step back into your zone of genius.

And with every project there will be:

    •  Clear communication
    • All our steps outlined
    • A timeline
    • Clear pricing
How much do you charge for services?

Since each project is specifically designed for my clients, it is not possible to have a one size fits all price for each service. As part of my process, I will make every effort to fully understand your business vision and goals, as well as create custom functionality and pages to meet your requirements. Please feel free to contact me through the form above with any questions you may have.

How long does it take to build a website?

Like with prices, each time frame is unique to the project. Depending on the complexity and scope of the project, the time it takes to develop a website can range from a few weeks to months. Website development for most small to medium-sized businesses will take 4 to 8 weeks. This time frame includes time for planning, design, development, feedback/revisions, and thorough site testing. Our project timeline and launch date will be explicitly stated in the initial proposal.

    What platform do you use?

Remote Reverie uses WordPress.org for all projects. You know as well as I do that there are many platforms to choose from. However, in my experience, WordPress.org is a platform that allows you the freedom to create anything you want. Unlike website builders (SquareSpace, Wix and Weebly), you have full control over your website and its data. When it comes to growing your business and generating revenue, there are no limits.

What happens after the website is launched?

It is important to me that every client of mine leaves with a basic understanding of the project(s) we work on. I will do my best not to leave you lost or confused at the end of our project. At the very end, I will provide a walkthrough of your site to ensure you understand exactly what your beautiful new website has to offer and how it works.

Now, if you want to make sure your site runs smoothly for the foreseeable future by an expert – you are in luck! You have the option of opting for a care plan.  I highly recommend this for all my clients! No need to worry about maintaining your website or trying to DIY additional updates. With a care plan, you’ll have Remote Reverie there to keep you up to date and grow with your business.

    Care plans include:

    • Troubleshooting any issues when they arise
    • Updates to the site security
    • Updates to plugins and integrations
    • Making minor changes to the website.
